Is it associated with a tour or just a rhcp shirt..... I have seen really good fakes so beware!
Hmmmmm... that's a good point AngryOne. The ones I've seen mostly have Red Hot Chili Peppers on the back or Positive Mental Octopus maybe? Hmmmmm... Things that make you go Hmmmmmmm ?

Hi 3stagger3 welcome to the RHCP community! I would like to voice that I do remember seeing this t-shirt, indeed (when I say this it could mean as far back as early 80's plus) the mid to late 80's, I remember these for a specific 'flash bulb' memory I have, and I like this t-shirt! I think it is a genuine, it definitely isn't a 'sweat shop' print, meaning, mass produced in a warehouse overseas. The tag says made in the US and Oneita according to my memory, made quality t-shirts for consumption. Having nothing on hte back doesn't necessarily disqualify it as a genuine, as the RHCP worked their asses off getting to gigs while having to deal with producers and record company's demands. It may not be a 'promotional concert t-shirt' but back then printed t-shirts weren't printed foremost for such purposes, it may have been a private record shop like toxic shock back in the day, or an old management of the RHCP. Of course A would know.. but he is sleeping, dreaming of surf waves between gigs in NZ this instant. Looking into it further on Ebay the seller looks for real and honest too, it appears he may be selling some of his personal items looking through his list. I do agree the price is a bit steep but it is the VALUE of the t-shirt, and for that, it is priced as marked. I myself: have a genuine The Clash t-shirt I'll be selling on my Ebay one of these days for my deemed valued price, along with a slew of other 're-psyches', but believe me there is VALUE in originality! It's almost priceless and if one is agreeable to pay the asking price than that person deserves to own it I say! I am not authority, don't quote me. Your best bet would be to hang around and wait till an Admin clears this up. Of course now that I've been chatting away also and also spamlunched out my ebay deal I also may be in for chatting. At any rate laters and happy posting.

It is a REAL design that they used during the Mother's Milk touring cycle; my friend got his autographed back in the day. But Rrarts0 (Otis) will know if this is indeed an original of HIS work. He did all the RHCP merch back in they day, while also running the fan club before Blackie took over. I've never seen this color variation, but they made all kinds of special stuff back in the day.... Let me know what he says...
